— How It Started

Built from a
simple observation

Ubud is full of people looking for something. A slower pace. A different perspective. A morning that doesn't feel like a meeting.

We noticed that the cafés coming and going were either tourist traps with average coffee, or beautiful spaces that forgot about WiFi. Nobody was building the full package — a place where you could actually work, actually meet people, and actually feel like you'd found something worth finding.

So we did it ourselves. Tucked away from the main drag, surrounded by green, with coffee we're genuinely proud of and food that respects the ingredients.

We also built a small library — a quiet collection of books you can pick up, read slowly, and put back when you're done. No membership. No deadline. Just good reading and good coffee.

The Hidden Space is exactly what the name suggests. You have to know it's there. And when you find it, it feels like yours.

Where Ubud
goes quiet

We sit just far enough from the centre of Ubud that the sound fades. The terrace overlooks the lush tropical garden below. Warm timber beams, woven bamboo ceilings, and the sound of birds from most seats.

It's the kind of place you stumble on and save on Maps so you can come back. A few guests have told us they've reoriented their entire Ubud stay around us. We find that quietly satisfying.
